Are you feeling overweight, tired, or simply unhealthy? Have you tried to lose weight and failed? You are not alone. Millions of Americans are caught in an obesigenic world that is plagued with fast food options around every corner, poor eating habits, a general lack of activity, high stress environments, insufficient sleep, and a sick-care health system. In this unsupportive environment, it is no wonder that two-thirds of adult Americans are overweight, and the predicted health of future generations is even more uncertain. My passion in life has always been to help people, in any way I can. I became a Health Coach for that exact reason. I find myself surrounded by numerous people who look to me for advice, recommendations, referrals, etc, all concerned with their health. In 2009, I lost almost 40lbs of unhealthy weight. I am active daily with my massage career and two children, so I did not just sit around. I had tried adding cardio workouts and making sure I snacked throughout my day. But the weight kept increasing and my energy level kept decreasing, along with my patience and outlook on life. It was at this point, I started the Take Shape for Life program that I am now coaching others to be successful with as well. I was looking to be able to lose what I needed and then maintain my healthy weight and find balance in my life. What I love best about this program is that I am in complete control. I have learned what my body needs, and I can choose with confidence what are the best foods and snacks for me. I am more aware, so I do not have the moodiness anymore that used to plague me between meals. Aside from that, my energy level has increased dramatically. In February of 2010 (one year after I started my journey), I tested myself by not using any portion controlled meal replacements and relying on myself to have the balanced healthy meals my body needs to thrive (since I know the foods, I know the portions). The difference was astounding! I began to be impatient with my children, tired in the afternoons, worn out at work (enough that I thought about stopping my massage career all together), and I was constantly hungry; not to mention pounds started creeping back on... That was when I knew beyond a doubt that this program is not a ?diet?, it is the answer to achieving and maintaining lifelong optimal health! Take Shape For Life offers a simple solution: high-quality, medically formulated meal replacements combined with free coaching support to help you lose weight and keep it off. It is not a diet, but a two-phased approach for weight loss and maintenance. In the first phase, you will use Medifast portion-controlled meal replacements to lose up to two to five pounds a week, without surgery or medications. As your Health Coach, I am a free resource that will guide you through the program and provide on-going personal coaching. I will help you build up the knowledge, skills, and support you need to realize health and help keep you focused on your long-term goals and dreams. Once you achieve your desired weight loss, you will transition into the Maintenance plan, which will allow you to put your healthy habits to work to support lasting weight maintenance. Small actions, such as building exercise into your day and eating breakfast, add up to make a significant impact on your overall health. Throughout this process, I will serve as your mentor, educator, coach, and friend. Before you know it, friends, family, colleagues, and your doctor will want to know your secret to looking and feeling good.
